🎡 Your Ultimate End-of-Summer Playground

Toronto’s Canadian National Exhibition — lovingly called The Ex — is back from August 15 to September 1, ready to turn the last days of summer into a full-on celebration. For 18 days, Exhibition Place transforms into a mash-up of food fair, thrill ride park, concert venue, cultural showcase, and just about every kind of “only at the CNE” moment you can imagine.

✨ New & Notable for 2025

Dinner in the Sky – If you’ve ever wanted to eat a gourmet meal while dangling 150 feet above the ground, here’s your chance. The view is stunning, the food is chef-crafted, and the adrenaline is complimentary.

Drag Brunch EXtravaganza – A lively brunch with big personalities, bold performances, and plenty of sparkle. It’s breakfast theatre at its finest.

MYTHOS – An immersive storytelling experience that blends art, culture, and a dash of fantasy. It’s like stepping into a living legend.

Returning Show-Stoppers – Elvis Stojko gliding across the ice, the SuperDogs showing off their charm and tricks, the Gaming Garage for tech lovers, and the heart-thumping Canadian International Air Show closing out the fair.

🎶 The Classics We’ll Never Quit

The Midway – Home to spinning rides, high-speed drops, and those infamous games where the plush prizes seem just out of reach.

Bandshell Concerts – This year’s lineup brings everything from Marianas Trench to Dean Brody to The Commodores. It’s live music under the stars—no Ticketmaster battle required.

Kids’ World – A mini fair within the fair, with pint-sized rides, shows, and hands-on fun for the little ones.

Farm & Agriculture – Meet friendly goats, marvel at giant veggies, and see how urban farming is shaping the city’s green future.

Heritage & Culture Exhibits – From the illuminated CNE sign to the Beaver art project to exhibits from the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation, it’s a reminder that the fair is as much about storytelling as it is about spectacle.

đź’ˇ Tips for a Smooth (and Fun) Visit

  • Buy in Advance – Save up to 40% on passes if you book before you arrive.
  • Go Transit or TTC – Traffic around the grounds can be an Olympic sport—public transit is the gold medal move.
  • Pace Yourself – Between the food, rides, and shows, it’s easy to get distracted. Make a loose plan so you don’t miss your must-dos.

🏆 Final Word

The CNE is more than a fair — it’s Toronto’s annual goodbye hug to summer. Whether you’re sipping champagne in the sky, cheering on a wrestling match, or just hunting down the year’s most outrageous deep-fried creation, you’ll leave with a camera roll full of memories and probably a few extra steps on your fitness tracker.

So grab your comfiest shoes, your hungriest friends, and a healthy dose of curiosity. The Ex is calling.
